The Best Sweet Potato Casserole

Sweet Potato Casserole:

4-5 cups mashed, cooked sweet potatoes
2/3 cup sugar
5 1/2 tablespoons melted butter
2 extra-large eggs, well beaten
1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup milk

Combine sweet potatoes, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk; mix well.  Spoon into a 2-quart casserole. Cover with Topping. Bake at 350 degree for 30 minutes. If you want marshmallows on top, wait until half-way through baking before adding them.


1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Combine all topping ingredients, mix well; sprinkle on top of potato mixture before baking.
